After finishing a close second to Curlin in the Preakness, Street Sense is comforted by Paul Rutherford, a horse-loving Louisville lawyer who served as the coltís hot walker and constant companion during the 2007 racing season.
Street Sense fights Grasshopper for the lead in the August 25th Travers Stakes at Saratoga. After skipping the Belmont, Street Sense won the Jim Dandy at Saratoga in July and, a month later, the Travers.

In the paddock at Turfway Park on September 29th, Street Sense awaits a showdown with Kentucky Derby runner-up Hard Spun. This time Hard Spun won.
In the walking circle at Monmouth Park, Street Sense gets ready to run his last race before retirement, the Breedersí Cup Classic on October 27th. He finished in 4th place.
After the BC Classic, Street Sense (seen here at Turfway in September 2007) was retired to stallion duty at Darley Stud in Kentucky. He arrived there around the same time as Hard Spun.
