Open House at Northview PA Stallion Station

Bandbox, who joined the roster at Northview's Chesapeake City MD location this year, made a guest appearance at the Pennsylvania open house.

A 2008 New York-bred son of Tapit out of Empty the Bases, Bandbox raced for four years. From 15 starts, he earned five wins, four seconds and a third.
Bullsbay was trained by Fairhill-based Graham Motion until retiring to stud at Northview Stallion Station in Maryland for the 2011 season. He moved from there to the Peach Bottom PA location in 2014.

Foaled in Kentucky in 2004, Bullsbay, by Tiznow out of The Hess Express, raced 25 times in his four-year career. His seven wins included the grade 3 Alysheba in 2009 and the grade 1 Whitney in 2010; he also had six seconds and two thirds.
El Padrino, a 2009 son of Pulpit out of Enchanted Rock (Giant's Causeway) entered stud at Northview in 2014 after an eight-race career that included a first-place finish in the grade 2 Risen Star Stakes, two other wins, two seconds and a third.

Although El Padrino remained briefly in training as a four-year-old, he did not race, due to recurring problems from an injury sustained in the 2012 Kentucky Derby.
Fairbanks, a 2003 son of Giant's Causeway and Alaska Queen, has been at Northview PA since 2009.

Fairbanks raced for three years and retired with 6 wins and 4 seconds–many in graded stakes events–in 19 starts.
Jump Start, a 1999 son of A.P. Indy out of Steady Cat, by Storm Cat, came to Northview PA in 2012, having previously stood in Kentucky and at Ghost Ridge Farm in Pennsylvania.

Jump Start raced fives times as a two-year-old, winning and placing in graded stakes competitions, then retired with an injury sustained in the 1999 Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
Medallist, a 2001 Kentucky-bred by Touch Gold out of Santaria, has been at Northview PA since its founding in 2009.

Multiple graded stakes winner Medallist raced for two years.
Smarty Jones, winner of the 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, retired after his three-year-old season and spent his early stallion years at Three Chimneys in Kentucky. This will be his fourth season at Northview PA.

Smarty is a Pennsylvania-bred son of Elusive Quality out of I'll Get Along,
