Lost in the Fog, undefeated after six starts, leads the eight-horse field on his way to winning the 2005 Riva Ridge Stakes at Belmont Park. Edgar Prado had the mount because regular rider Russell Baze was out with an injury.

Lost in the Fog won ten races, including the King's Bishop at Saratoga, before experiencing his first defeat, in the Breeders' Cup sprint. He was voted Champion Sprinter of 2005, and went on to race as as a four-year-old, winning one more time. In August of 2006 he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer, and was euthanized three weeks later.
