And Why Not (#5), trained by Michael Matz, is brought to the paddock to be saddled for the 76th running of the Delaware Handicap.
She's All In, Victor Carrasco up, leads the group of five mares and fillies from paddock to track for the post parade.
Royal Delta and jockey Mike Smith, winners of the 2012 Del Cap, face an all-new group of competitors this year, including Centring (belolw), ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr.
Royal Delta takes the early lead, followed by She's All In (center) and Summer Applause.
In front throughout the race, Royal Delta is far ahead in the stretch, on her way to winning by 10 and 3/4 lengths. In the 2012 Delaware Handicap she beat Tiz Miz Sue by only a neck.
Royal Delta returns after the gallop-out and is led to the winner's circle.

The five-year-old mare's connections celebrate her eleventh lifetime win. Two of her previous victories were in the 2011 and 2012 Breeders' Cup Ladies Classics.
Bill Mott has trained Royal Delta, who was 2011 champion 3 year old filly and 2012 champion older mare, throughout her career.
Mike Smith has been aboard for six of her wins.
